Approach
I use an integrative approach and will draw from the following modalities dependent on your unique needs

Brainspotting
Brainspotting is effective for a wide variety of emotional and somatic conditions. Brainspotting is particularly effective with trauma-based situations, helping to identify and heal underlying trauma that contributes to anxiety, depression and other conditions. It can also be used with performance and creativity blocks. Brainspotting gives the therapist access to both brain and body processes. Its goal is to bypass the conscious and access the deeper, emotional and body-based parts of the brain.

Behavioral Therapies
Behavioral Therapies
Behavioral therapy is focused on the relationship between behaviors, thoughts, emotions and how they function together. Although these behaviors might have origins from the past, the focus is on the present and how it currently interferes with your daily life. We will work on increasing awareness of your negative thoughts/feelings and how they relate to your everyday actions. Our goal is to replace the maladaptive behaviors with ones that align with your values and true self. This approach includes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, and behavioral activation skills.

Psychodynamic Therapies
Psychodynamic therapy will help you identify how your childhood experiences and your family of origin impact the way you exist in the present moment. Connecting the past and present allows us the chance to end the unconscious repetition of patterns that develop in our early life. I primarily draw from attachment-based and internal-family system techniques.

Family Therapy
I approach family therapy through a systems lens and will help you identify how each individual relates to the unit as a whole. This systemic approach highlights how family members make meaning of their interactions both cognitively and emotionally. I use a strength based lens and will collaborate on plans with you and your family. I have extensive experience building parenting skills and use interactive methods in session that encourage participation from all members.

Mindfulness
This is the core of my work. In order to grow, we must first notice the way we exist in the present moment. This takes patience, practice, and self-compassion. My sessions are often integrated with grounding and breathing exercises that bring awareness into our minds and bodies.

Couples Therapy
I take an emotionally focused approach to couples therapy (EFT). This approach focuses on unpacking the patterns between you and your partner(s) with an emphasis on emotional expression. Our sessions will bring awareness to your cycle, identify your protective behaviors and connect them to your unmet needs. The core of our work is to do all of this through the lens of empathy. I also provide tangible interventions and practical tools that can be used at home.

I am a partnering clinician with Backline, a non-profit that connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources. As a touring musician, I know what it's like to exist in the industry and the impacts it has on mental health. Working together, we can explore your experiences, work through creative blocks and build skills needed to bring you closer to your goals.
